History of MUNDI

MUNDI has been promoting global education for more than twenty years. Founded by a group of local teachers in 1986, it provided support to schools through a mobile resource library (Mobile Unit for Development Issues or MUNDI). MUNDI gained its charity status in January 1989, and in September 2007 it became a Charitable Trust (registered charity No. 1120802).

Originally based in the Netherfield area in Nottingham, MUNDI became part of the School of Education at the University of Nottingham in 1989. In 2009, we relocated to our current offices on the corner of Foxhall Road and Gregory Boulevard.

We are proud of our well-established reputation as one of the key providers of quality training on global education. Every year we reach hundreds of teachers through our seminars and workshops. We also support trainee teachers, teaching assistants and youth workers in developing their skills and confidence in discussing development issues with learners in formal and non-formal education settings.
